The counsellor/therapist supports client empowerment and personal growth through developing self-awareness, understanding and acceptance to overcome inner conflicts, barriers and issues, providing tools/skills for coping with crisis and effective decision making, and improving relationships with others and self. The Counsellor/Therapist may specialize in different areas of practice to support their client.
