Those third parties are beyond the control of Helthe Connect and you should review the privacy policies of those third parties before making use of any services they provide.

2. Acceptance of Privacy Policy

Processing personal information is integral to providing the Services and providing Users with a valuable resource and the Services cannot be provided without us collecting and processing that information.  By accepting our Terms and Conditions (Individual or Wellness Provider) or using the Services, you are confirming that you have read and understand this policy and have agreed to be bound by it as it may be amended from time to time.  If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use our Site. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes to this policy will be deemed to be your acceptance of those changes.

3. What personal data we collect and why we collect it

In the case of Wellness Providers, we collect the information provided in order to provide an online forum for showcasing the offering of each Wellness Provider.

In the case of Individuals (customers or other persons seeking Wellness Services), we collect information to allow Wellness Providers to respond to requests from Individuals for Wellness Services and to book appointments or otherwise obtain the Wellness Services.  When Users leave comments on the Site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the User’s IP address and browser user agent string to facilitate spam detection. After we approve the User's comment, the User's profile picture (if uploaded) may be visible to the public in the context of the comment.

4. Personal identification information

We collect personal identification information from Users in a number of ways, including, but not limited to, Users visiting our site, booking a service, subscribing to our newsletter, responding to a survey, filling out a registration form, or in connection with any other activities, services, features, or resources we make available on the Site from time to time. Users will be asked for their name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and may be asked for their social media username. Users may choose to browse our Site anonymously, but will need to create an account to make purchases, communicate directly with providers and/or leave comments.

5. Non-personally-identifying information

We may collect non-personally-identifying information about every User’s interaction with our Site, include the browser name, the type of computer and operating system used, the physical location from which they browsed, and other technical information about Users’ means of connecting to our Site.

6. Web browser cookies

Our Site may use “cookies” to enhance the User experience. A User’s web browser places cookies on their hard drive to keep records for page refreshing and sometimes to track information about usage. If a User creates an account and logs in to this Site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when the User closes their browser. A User can choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies or to alert them when cookies are being sent. If they do so, please note that some parts of the Site may not function as intended. Cookies are for the User's convenience to prevent the User from having to fill in personal details when again leaving a comment.

7. Embedded content

This Site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles) from other websites or other sources. This content behaves in the same manner as if the User has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about the User, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor the User's interaction with that embedded content, including tracking the User's interaction with the embedded content if the User has an account and is logged in to that website.

8.How we use collected information

Helthe Connect may collect and use Users’ personally-identifying information for the following purposes:

  • to improve customer service and support User needs more efficiently and effectively
  • to analyze how aggregate Users use the services and resources provided on our Site
  • to improve our Site given the feedback you provide
  • to run promotions, surveys, or other Site features
  • to send via email information Users have agreed to receive about topics that we think will be of interest to them

We may use email addresses to send Users information and updates pertaining to their interests and our services and to respond to their inquiries, questions or other requests.  If a User decides to opt-in to our mailing list, they will receive emails that may include company news, updates, related service information and other information we believe will be of interest to the community.  A User can unsubscribe from receiving future emails at any time and we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.

9. How long we retain user data

Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely, so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. For Users registered on our Site, we also store the personal information provided in their User profile. Users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username).  Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

10. What rights users have over their data

Users can request to receive an exported file of the personal data that the User has provided to us.  A User can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about the User, not including any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.

11. How we protect your information

We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices, and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information, and data stored on our Site. However, there are inherent risks to all electronic communications. No electronic communication can be completely secured and guaranteed. You share responsibility for protecting your account information by setting a strong password and keeping your username and password confidential.

All data is currently stored on services located in the United States with third party data storage providers who have agreed to maintain commercially reasonable levels of data security.

12. Sharing your personal information

We do not sell, trade, or rent Users’ personally-identifying information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates and advertisers for the purposes outlined above. We may use third-party service providers to help us operate our business and the Site or administer activities on our behalf, such as sending out newsletters or surveys. We may share your information with these third parties for those limited purposes only, provided that you have given us your permission.

13. Changes to this privacy policy

Helthe Connect reserves the right, at its discretion, to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do so, we will revise the date at the top of this page. We encourage Users to check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect.
